I really liked debate camp because the debate rounds were fun and I loved the topics. It helped me a lot on my critical thinking. All the instructors are very nice and friendly. The feedback from rounds and practice was really usefull, and the games were so fun. I loved making new friends too! Thank you SEDA! -Grade 5 Student This summer camp experience was really fun. I had a chance to interact with new people and expand my debating skills. The instructors make class both interesting and helpful and are really great when it comes to questions. -Grade 7 Student |

We had a record 50 campers this year, which is a great way for us to kick off celebrating our 50th year! We would like to thank the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law for providing space for our camp from August 12 to 16. |

When I attended my first debate camp in Grade 6, it helped me realize how varied and interesting debate could be. This year, as an instructor, the campers once again reminded me of the passion and excitement of debate. Camp was a terrific experience for me as an instructor, and I was happy to see the campers grow their debate skills exponentially over the week. The campers enthusiasm to learn was infectious, and I hope to continue to see them grow in debate throughout the year. -Sam, Camp Instructor My time as a SEDA Debate Camp instructor was an incredibly enriching and fulfilling experience. I worked with students from grades 5-6 who were introduced to debate for the first time at camp. My favourite memory from camp was judging a debate about video philanthropy. The kids blew me away with their specific knowledge about Mr. Beast and other philanthropy video creators. I must admit the experience made me feel a little old, but I was also proud of how engaged they were in the debate. I was amazed by how they went from knowing next to nothing about debate on the first day to participating in a tournament on the last day. -Sanjana, Camp Instructor |
