Spotlight on Debaters The Speech and Debate Academy is a very useful class. The topics are perfected for different age groups, interactive classes, and an overall great learning experience. It has helped me with learning many useful debating skills. Personally, SEDA’s debate classes are some of the best debate classes in the nation, and they should keep up the great work. The World Series World Schools Debate is a unique and dynamic form of debate. This highly interactive style of debate allows debaters to engage each other, even during speeches. This challenging format requires good teamwork and in-depth quality argumentation. This 3 vs. 3 debate style typically confronts topics that are global in scope. The Series is open to debaters in grades 8 to 12. All experience levels welcome. Date and registration information will be available Jan. 2022. |
E.C. Leslie Provincial Championship The E.C. Leslie Provincial Championship will be held the weekend of Mar. 11, 2022. Details to follow. We are working with schools and coaches to determine the feasibility of hosting an in-person event. Parents/Coaches/Volunteers, we would love to hear your thoughts on an in-person Provincial Championship event. |
Swing teams come to a tournament to help ensure an even number of teams within a division. Swing debaters are sometimes older or younger then the division they are competing in. This means they are not eligible for tournament awards. |
