| Hi! I'm Hamdia, a recent immigrant from Pakistan who's passionate about debates and public speaking (and winning arguments, obviously!). I loved working as an Instructor with SEDA, sharing my experience in World Schools format, MUN, and Canadian national debates. When I'm not debating, I enjoy photography, badminton, and cycling around the city - though I'm still figuring out Canadian winters on a bike! |

Working with SEDA has been amazing because I get to pass on my passion to others. Excited to be part of this wonderful community! |

| Hey! My name is Sam, and I am excited to be the SEDA Summer Camp Director this year! I just graduated from high school, where I helped coach several clubs and participated in debates around the country. I have always thought that Debate has been incredibly important for students’ critical thinking skills and their ability to work with others. |

I had an amazing time when I attended the SEDA Summer Camp, and I am looking forward to helping create an inviting, fun, and educational camp this year! |

| Hi everyone! I’m Sara, a third-year Studio Art student at the University of Saskatchewan. I’ll be staying at SEDA a bit longer than the usual summer student to help with administrative support. |

When I first learned about SEDA, I immediately connected with its mission. Growing up without debate clubs in my school, I would’ve loved the chance to build confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills. Now, I’m thrilled to contribute behind the scenes and be part of something that empowers young voices. |

"At camp, I had the chance that I never really had before of meeting, learning, and debating with so many people that also enjoy debate. Thanks to everyone there from the instructors, organizers, and students for such a great experience!" -Grade 7 Student "For me, debate is not a hobby, not an interest, but an essential skill in life, something everyone needs. The SEDA debate camp taught me a lot, not just in the perspective of strategies, but also practical skills needed in our everyday lives such as public speaking. Overall, I love the SEDA debate camp very much as it was a transformative journey that fuelled my passion for debating! Thank you very much for this experience!" -Grade 8 Student |
