Our first in-person tournament of the year, hosted at Centennial Colligate on November 1, saw a record breaking 102 students from grades 5 to 12, including a French Language division. We filled a bus with students and volunteers from the Regina! The elementary prepared motion was this house believes expanding the use of AI (artificial Intelligence) will do more harm than good. The high school prepared motion was this house, as the United States government, would nationalize the AI sector. |

| Eighteen students practiced their public speaking skills at our online Speech tournament on November 22. We were thrilled to invite 7 students to attend the National Speech Championship in Winnipeg in February. Some of the persuasive speech topics the students chose included pollution, fast fashion, social media, volunteering, the opioid crisis, and Canadian health care. |

Tournament 5 on December 13 was one of our largest virtual events with 70 students, 45 judges, and 20 observers. This interesting impromptu motion was debated by all age divisions: this house would legally punish individuals who fail to assist a person in danger when doing so would not place them at serious risk. Want to help us celebrate the winners? Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to cheer on student achievements. |
