Hello Everyone,
A warm welcome to all of our debaters, speakers, poets, and students. A grateful acknowledgment to all of our parents, coaches, volunteers, and alumni. It is my absolute honour and privilege to step in as your interim Executive Director.
First, I want to congratulate Fiseko on her new baby! We wish her the best as she begins her maternity leave. Her leadership has been critical in SEDA's transition to online programming throughout the pandemic.
As we enter our summer months, we're excited to announce a measured and cautious return to in-person activities! We can't wait to have everyone back in person for summer camp and upcoming fall tournaments.
As we slowly re-adjust to a semblance of traditional programming, I'm sure there will still be many questions and concerns. Please don't hesitate to reach out!
Our goal is to leap into the 2022-2023 season with a strengthened commitment towards community engagement. A renewed focus on fundraising and outreach will hopefully translate to more diverse, more accessible, and most importantly, more meaningful programs for our students.
This is our opportunity to reinvigorate SEDA as a platform to connect creative and critical thinkers with the skills and opportunities to become future leaders. I am tremendously excited for our year ahead.
With optimism,
Kehan Fu
